I guess the American people are just all a bunch of idiots and can be influenced by such condescending political nonsense. I don't mean to get all political here, but I can't help but think about how we are 29 days out from a presidential election, and you have soldiers dying in Afghanistan, a US Diplomat and three other Americans killed inside of a U.S. Embassy, $16,000,000,000,000 in debt, an economy with 14.7% unemployment (U6 employment), Europe going bankrupt, a hostile Iran wanting to blow our closest friend (Israel) off the face of the earth with nuclear weapons, and here we are talking about freakin' BIG BIRD? 

Mr. President, Get a grip on the world around you, this ficticious yellow bird that doesn't even exist has become the center of our political world. 

And we wonder why we got this way...

In the event PBS gets defunded Big Bird will not have to stand in the unemployment line. Mark Levin has committed to putting together a consortium of investors to purchase Sesame Street with the intent to keep it going. And I'm sure other commercially viable programs will find new life under new ownership.
