Before we run Uncle Sam's credit card through the machine again, this time for $1T+, let us know our facts. Millions do not have health insurance, and here is why:

1/5 are illegal immigrants

2/5 are young, strong, virtually immortal

1/5 are on or eligible for Medicare

1/5 are the rich who are self-insured

How are the current healthcare proposals going to tackle these factors?

I think the idea behind reform is that the current system has us paying for the uninsured when they need medical care anyways so why not find a way cover everybody.

It's just not right to deny help to another human being if you can. Just as bad is giving the people at ground level this task.
