50% Portfolio, one month later...

On 9/15/09, I made a list of 13 stocks I said will have a 50% gain (each one of them) within 3 months or less (see the original post here).

Yesterday, MNI was the first stock to reach its 50% gain since I created the list a month ago. Actually, at yesterday's $4.02 closing price, MNI was up 60%. However, today, after the earnings announcement, it did pull back 14%. Still, my 50% gain target was achieved in less than 3 months...

Today, sometime in the afternoon, FTWR was the second stock to reach its 50% gain, but it couldn't keep it at the end of the day. As FTWR closed "only" 45.3% up from its price on 9/15/09, when my list was created, we are not going to count FTWR as the second 50%-er as of yet...

Here is the update for the whole list:

MNI   up 39.4%       (MNI reached it's 50% gain on 10/14/09 when it closed at $4.02)

CNO  up 35.4%

BLC   up 32.0%

ODP  up 26.0%

TA     up 23.6%

NNBR  up 20.6%

THC  up 4.4%

PWAV  down 0.6%

CPE  down 2.4%

CMRG  down 9.0%

The whole 50% portfolio up 21.8% (if same amount of money invested in each stock)

S&P 500 up 4.5%
