I'm not here to say it is...BUT I have always tried to ask you, who you exactly thought you were to profess to the masses "its not the end of the world, just the end of the world as you know it"

 

Many MANY biblical prophecies about the end times are evident today:

1. Earthquakes

 

2. Move to a Global system (you can actually see the possibilities if not all out movement to Globalized economy and infrastructure (mark of the beast) 

 

3. Christians being positioned as the "radical" right winger's of todays society ( we as a nation no longer recognize prayer in the white house, not do we allow it in our schools, etc)

 

4. Knowlege and communication will expand exponentially - never in the history of our world has knowledge and communication EVER increased at the rates that it is, which has a direct effect on the "Great Commission" which is the telling in every  part of every land about the Good News (Word of God).  You have to think we are closing in on reaching places that have never been reached before

 

5. False Prophets and Christs - How many times have did we hear that our current president is the messiah?? i believe farakan himself has said it...preached it even...

 

6. Wars - enough said

 

7. Godlessness in Last days - Do i even need to provide examples here. We live in a ME first society, where the only real gods to most of the people's living today revolve around themself , their money, their power, their status...if it feels good do it...we praise independence in our society when dependence should be taught..we glorify sex and explortation, and sexual promiscuity and deviance , as being ok , b/c everyone needs love - like anyone even knows what love really is today. We have press conferences on national TV where candidates are actually getting face time for running on P2 (pot and prostitution).  We live in a world where you can turn on a device and watch any kind of porn imaginable, while you are playing online poker,while looking for a hookup on myspace or match.com

 

Seriously Do i need to say anymore?? 

 

 

Alstry, we may be moving into a new era , and i will agree with you on that, we will start to  feel some convulsive type of things as result of that..which you are now starting to see more and more everyday.  you have  been the KING of telling everyone to prepare for changes that are "of this world" and that's all fine and dandy. but I want to ask you , are you prepared for Jesus' return?? b/c I am not here to say its happening tomorrow , 2012 , 2015? i don't know, but i do know that He specifically states in the Bible to be aware and viigilant and that when you see the things that i listed above occuring (and there are more I just stopped at those) then you, yes even you alstry, should be prepared

 

So while I applaud you and your efforts for really trying to help people prepare, it really is inconsequential in the big scheme of things.  What matters is if they are Prepared for what you are joking about above.  And i assure you, its NOTHING to joke about.  THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS is ....are you , alstry and everyone else for that matter,  prepared for when Jesus, the Savior of this world, decides to  return?? If not , I suggest you put the mic down and get busy figuring out what really matters.. while you still have time

My point is that you aren't seeing what matters.  The closer a man gets to God the less he can take with him.  And all this incessant research and prognosticating and warning and prepartation that you have been doing is for what?  Your financial wellbeing? Your status well being? I commend you on helping others "prepare"..at least you are thinking outside of your "Self" but all that "stuff" is just like pieces in a monopoly game.   It ALL goes back in the box when your time is up..NONE of it matters.  

Your a smart guy , but you need to put all that good energy you have to more productive use, and this isn't according to me , this would be according to who created this world and everything in it

Never before has death and rebirth saved anyone but the reborn, *(and if you happen to be born again, did you ever experience death?) and that is infrequently documented. 

The shortcomings of this so called 'Lord God', Wrath, Insecurity, Split Personality, Pride, etc. seem much more akin to some humanoid than any supreme being. We were created in the image of our God, so does it not make sense, considering how close we are to our own ability to manipulate DNA, that we were created by something very much like us, with better technology? I think the bible has fallen victim of the common results of the 'telephone game', where it has been mistranslated on purpose in order to control people.

Furthermore, it is more likely that we are influencing events to mimick "end times" events through technology  (see HAARP) to create the very scenario that the mistranslators knew would eventually take place when the earth was re-globalised (which the mistranslators already knew, because they had maps of the Earth they stole from the library in Alexandria, before burning it to the ground. This is a common theme during the crusades, and the conquering of south america-stealing records of the real history of Earth, and burning any evidence-why else do you think they have such a heavily guarded library, and sent columbus to the new world, where we still fight the muslims!)

God seems to be a set of laws governing energy, proportion and time, connected to the group consciousness of every living thing with a 'soul', the antennae that connects us to the one, to which we belong. We may be God's sensory apparatus to appreciate the universe. 

That's just my opinion, and it certainly is more fun to think about than the circus that is our economy.  If anyone is offended, I apologize, and once again, this is my opinion.

Plus, Lot knew of his guests' true origins, which the villagers did not, and he likely feared the consequences of handing the angels over to the mob. In short, we have a man in a desperate situation.

In short, what was described in this chapter was nothing more than a stall tactic. Lot never intended to actually give his daughters to the mob; he just needed a reason to get back into the house, so that he could gather them up and escape. Unfortunately, the tactic failed him (evidently the mob was not interested inwomen that day), but that does not change its original intent.

No Christian who has thought much about it says, after all, that, since God is the ultimate of good beings, God wouldn't stoop to child sacrifice ! (How could you think such a thing of God ?!) They all admit that the most righteous being in the universe actually did throw his own child out to those who would sacrifice him (Jesus, God's son, was tortured for hours on end and died as a result they say). Ask any Christian (go on, I'll wait). God's own child sacrifice is the central and most obvious message of Christianity !

 

The fact that God chose fit to save Lot or David (remember he was a murderer , adulterer, and the man, whom God says was "a man after His own heart" ..shows God's grace and mercy on us as flawed individuals.  Christ didn't come for those who needed no help.  (The self-righteous who think they are superior and all knowing , MUCH LIKE YOU RALPH) Christ came for those who know by there very nature the evil that lies in them (All sinners) and that profess their need for their dependence on Him b/c they KNOW that they themselves can NOT do it alone

And you are correct , we are created in God's image. but its in humanoids', like yours, misrepresentation of what that means, do we get wild and crazy ideologies that create conclusions by reasoning of "how close we are as collective species to having abilities to manipulate DNA?" ..As long as you think of God "of this world' then most likely you will be apt to conclude  in your "theories" and ideologies" the way that you have.  You are victim of the blindness that Satan has done such a great job of placing on this world.

not mechanically sound?? i wasn't aware of anyting mechanical about this process.  The fact that Christ lived on this earth without sin , died on the cross, rose from the dead 3 days later and then later ascended back into heaven, as a man, to sit on the right hand of the Father..is the most gracious gift that's ever been given to this world...if not for it. you would have zero right to even be playing this game of life you try to play...so if you sir, mere nothing, as we all are, want to qualify this as mechanically unsound, be my guest. but the TRUTH of it REMAINS FOREVER

The facts are what they are ...Jesus Christ has over fulfilled over 300 prophecies in the old testament about who the Son of God would be.  His death on the cross is the most documented event in the history of the world...HE lived on this Earth and rose from it (there is NO denying it).. You may , like some Jews , choose to see Him as a prophet or whatever it is you choose to see him as, but He is the Son of God.  No one in the History of the world has EVER done what he did or said while he was here.

 

The fact that its been over 2000's years ago that HE walked t his earth, i realize makes it harder and harder to fathom the severity of its consequences to us know it all humans of today..but sir, when it comes time in this life or when you awake again from your sleep when you leave it...it will REIGN true for you one way or the other.  Being a true believer in Christ , if you ever try to persue it, will enlighten you in ways that you never dreamed possible, but its counter intuitve to everything that this world tries to tell you...we all want the easy way out in life..well unfortunately this doesn't come easy

To believe in God because you recognize the beauty and complexity of creation and have scratched the surface of the subconscious is completely different than believing in something from childhood out of fear of the unknown. Fear of God and love of God can not be shared by the same individual. There is a whole level of personal development between the two, and it is called Atheism. I would have been burned for saying this a couple hundred years ago.  

Being good because you recognize the benefit to all of man is completely different from being good to save your soul.  If we all knew that, we would be passed this 'currency' thing, but as we all know, Heaven is not to be experienced on Earth. (Or could it be, without some invisable force  (Organized Religion) preventing it through their manipulation of man) There are two banks in the world that are un-auditable, the FED, and the Vatican Bank. Coincidence? Who owns the FED anyway? As for comment #18, I think I have looked harder, read more, and sacrificed more on my journey to find truth, as you seem to have stopped with the most mainstrean view, and were satisfied. I have studied the older religions of native cultures of South America, Egypt, China, India.  There is really no way to explain exactly how I 'know' what I know on this forum, because there is no way to prove it, and to 90% of people without this experience, it sounds downright flaky, but I have been somewhere else where the mind is not anchored in the flesh, nor in time. (this did not involve drugs) I entered as a novice, akin to a goldfish on land for the first time. I had no guide. I learned lessons of forgiveness, greed, and reward for pure good intention(my friend was in a coma, and in trying to help him I had the amplitude turned up on my experience), and fear and why one must be pure of thought when outside this realm, because whatever you wish on someone else happens immediately to you! That may be why people with dark thoughts tend to be unable to experience heaven. The experience turns quickly hellish (on Earth) if you wish ill of others, even if you think you are being righteous, or preventing harm to yourself. The solution to all fear is to love one's enemy, and try to understand their perspective and forgive them.

As a healthy, 35 year old kung fu practitioner, I don't get sick often. What I experienced made me think long and hard before ever bringing my fear into meditation.  (I got sick. For 9 months) It took a long time to process this lesson, and I am still in the process, but one must be COMPLETELY pure of thought and only exude love, or their fears will manifest in this 'realm' if you will. 

So, have you gone so far to experience your connection to the One, or God?  Prayer without meditation is simply talking to god, and never listening to hear what is said in response. Not particularly respectful.

and i am not selling fear here sir.  To fear the lord, means to also Love him more than anything else in this world.  above yourself , above your job, above your mom and daddy, and above your kung fu.  To love anyting well in this world , you MUST love Him the most .  If i am selling anything here its HOPE.  Because Jesus died on the cross and lived a perfect life , defeated Satan in HIs living a perfect life for 33 years and also defeated the very nature of death , being raised from the dead, HE GAVE EVERY LAST ONE OF US HOPE, that no matter what any of us have done in the past , if we take up our own crosses and follow him, and actually be changed in repenting and in that pursuit of Him , God grants us the Holy Spirit, which came , as a function of Christ ascending back into heaven, then those who follow can and will have everlasting LIFE.  THis is not fear son, THIS IS HOPE for you, for me, FOR EVERYONE on this planet.  The only thing you should fear , is that you are going to karate chop your way into thinking that some mental discipline is all there is for you, when there is SO MUCH more

Much of what you are tyring to say you are practiing are disciplines or virtues of christianity sir, (Love your enemy, being good to benefit man, etc) these are ALL practices of Christ.  being good to save one's soul isn't what christianity is about sir.  You know NOT of what you think you profess to know.  Maybe if you took time out to fully understand what is going on you would see that just b/c something calls themself a christian or even a church even, doesn't make it so.  God knows all and everything that is good comes from him and HE sent HIS Son for HOPE
