I just calculated my fund's 2012 performance. Fund is in the green by around 88% for the year 2012.

Trades made since initiation in March 2010 are shown here. That spreadsheet might contain a few errors as it shows 4468 trades, but I am fairly confident that it is "about right" ;)

The fund is a pure long only biopharma equity fund (≈95% virtual, though).

some recent statistics.

top50 positions (≈ 91.6% of exposure).

You should also follow some of those I follow if you are interested in biopharma equities.

My "decent track record" making calls on biopharma equities goes back to 2008, by the way :)

(it is actually somewhat better than it appears, as quite a few of my better calls do not show up as delisted companies (after being acquired for example) usually lose their "biotechnology" tag in the "caps" game. oh well ;))

The gains from the fund's 3 largest gainers (FOLD, BION:SW, ANTH) more than make up for the losses of all (200 or so) losing positions, so biopharma investing can be far less risky than it is usually thought to be. If you know what you are doing ;)

88%? Holy hell!

If you started with a million bucks, and grew it at that rate every year, you'd be on the Forbes top10 richest Americans list about 17 years.

I don't think this fund will be virtual for much longer.

Did your 100% non-virtual real life portfolio do that well?

#7 My portfolio is somewhat similar to the "fund" portfolio, it is much smaller though.

If it's virtual, why are you even bragging about it? I may as well boast about how well I've done at Monopoly.

#7 You were right. It has now been followed by the 100% non-virtual #zzporte portfolio, see twitter. The old fund continues in mostly hands-off mode and is currently up around 210% from its December 2011 low.
