9.09 Democracy or Depression

In 9.09 America will learn it will have to choose between Demorcracy and Depression. Americans will learn that you can't have freedom and a free lunch.....or prosperity and a ponzi economy...for long.
What I am not sure yet is whether the decision will be shoved down our collective throats or will we get a choice.
Right now we have a stock market where trading is dominated by worthless stocks...but few want to believe. We have an economy where 50% of a bubble GDP is government spending and half of government spending is simply borrowing and printing money. We have 100,000,000 million Americans dependent on the government for income but as a nation we no longer have the income to support them.
Many of our largest publicly traded companies, like Dell, WalMart, and our drug companies generate much of the sales simply due to government spending money it doesn't have....back in The Great Depresssion Government consumed only 10% of our GDP....today it consumes over 50%.....and that is 50% of a credit bubble GDP.
Now our private economy is evaporating because the banks are cutting off credit to citizens and private business. Millions of people have been fired, tens of millions have suffered massive wage cuts, and bankruptcies are rising parabolically.
Many Americans can't see this because the media doesn't report it. In addition, the stats don't pick up the tremendous distress falling upon our small businesses and independent contractors. Millions of our citizens have seen their incomes evaporate, but because they work for themselves few really care to count them.
Soon you will learn that we can't have both....government spending like a drunken sailor and only paying a fraction of our income for taxes. In order for government to spend at current levels, government will be forced to tax us 100% of our current incomes...government will have to take control of more and more of the assets of the nation in order to continue to function at the current level.
Once that happens, the rights of Americans will be emasculated.......unless government starts spending less....a lot less. If that happens, America will be driven into the deepest depression in our nations history.
Not the end of the world....simply MOAP.....The Mother of All Ponzi Schemes....you simply can't keep growing and growing by borrowing and borrowing without one day paying the price. In the past few years, we borrowed like never before.....now the bankers want to be paid back.... they knew this would happen...they made money betting we would default with credit default swaps.
Starting in September, we will see lots of firsts...like the following:
California is on the brink of another American first, this one rather dubious: In a week or two, officials say they will start shutting down 100 state parks, an exercise in government retrenchment unprecedented for a citizenry that cherishes the outdoors.

MOAP is not the end of the world, as many of the Alstrybaters would like you to believe. We are simply out of money. We can't keep going on lying about the finanicial condition of our banks and spending money that doesn't exist without consequences. Right now the consequences are being felt all over the place.....Alstry has posted thousands of links of supporting evidence.
Keep enjoying a stock market dominated by worthless companies, but that is no way to build a durable future for our children. Sure you are being told that we are turning around, but that is only because government is spending money it doesn't have. Enjoy your welfare checks from counterfeit money as it flows in.....but thre will be a price to pay.
Could you imagine the stimulous to the economy if we simply gave every unemployed person a check for $10,000,000 and forced them to spend it? Keep dreaming folks, it is fun while it lasts.
The bankers we bailed out will soon want to be paid but we don't have the money to pay them. We can either pay the price of freedom or pay them with everything we own......they only real question now is whether we will have any say in the matter as the Zombulator continues to shut down our nation yet so many remain so indifferent.

The above is just a small sample of what is going on obtained from http://www.dailyjobcuts.com/
Commercial Real Estate is being obliterated. We are losing millions of small business/indepdendent contractor taxpayers that are not being counted including lawyers, architects, real estate sales people, construction workers, and consultants.
These are individuals and entities that paid a big chunk of taxes...each time one of them economically expires, so does our nations tax base as few are finding replacement work with a comperable income. Now our tax base is so low that much of government spending is borrowing or printing.
Alstry has been documenting the process for over a year.....we are now at about the point of MOAP...let's hope the choice will be ours.....will it be Depression or Demorcracy?
