Nike Golf More than Tiger

Interesting article from Bloomberg this morning about sales of golf gear staying strong even though sales of Tiger gear are whimpering rather than roaring. An analyst quoted says that Nike golf sales are still robust even though Tiger sales are less than stellar. That tells us something about the Nike brand and the company's ability to be more than just one all-star. It's smart for Nike to stand by him. At some point Tiger will square his shoulders and get things moving in the right direction (on top of news this morning that his divorce is going through). And then he'll start winning again and selling his Tiger gear. That will be good news for Nike, the company/stock, which is an active recommendation in our Stock Advisor service.  [more]
