China Housing and Land has a wacky scheme to shake out weak hands and small investors, essentially taking the comapny private. Book value is over $12 per share, but they want to buy out all the small retail holders for $3.00 by doing a 1 for 50,000 reverse split, forcing creation of fractional shares which would be cancelled for cash. VW will never recover from the emissions cheating scandal. In a shocking recall order the scum at Volkswagen are said to have gamed the EPA diesel emissions test with a software hack which only turns pollution controls on when the car is being tested. All other times when driving on the open roads, these filthy beasts spewed poison into the air to gain performance boosts. Back in the '60's and '70's the VW was an emblem of earth loving counter-culture, but today's news shows they've returned to their evil German NAZI roots. EPA sources are talking about eventual fines in the neighborhood of $18 Billion. Software does not write itself. I want to see some big fish executives do the perp walk, go to jail, and write their miserable memoirs from prison for this cynical black hat crime against humanity. The "Good German" defense of "I was just following orders" won't cut it. How many folks have or will die of lung cancer and other related diseases as a result of this cynical fraud? Clean Diesel is a laughable oxymoron. Join me in March 2016 to sign up for the waiting list for the 2017 Tesla affordable ZERO EMISSION Model 3 sedan. [more]
Took me almost a year to go from 50 to 100 Score Leader wins but there ya go. I'm now Score Leader for half of my picks. Screw the points, I'm hopelessly mired near the bottom. My new goal is to have a portfolio of all Score Leaders, halfway there as of this week !
I am now Score Leader for 50 picks. Screw the points, I'm hopelessly mired near the bottom. My new goal is to have a portfolio of all Score Leaders, quarter of the way there as of today!
CAPS needs an IPO function so those of us who want to up/down thumb a new issue can get the subscription price as our starting price. I up-thumbed TWTR the night before at $26 but my start price is more like the post-pop number for just a couple of points. [more]
