Anyone care to guess how much share dillution will occur over the next two years? I've looked at some of the annual reports and in 2003 SIRI had 912 million shares outstanding now they have 3.18 billion. Is anyone educated enough to know how much of the share dillution will be due to compensation and how much will be to finance the losses. I am "all in" with SIRI in that I have allocated as many funds as I care to risk. My two big worries are share dilution and that the revenues can not offset talent paychecks and satellite capital expenditures. [more]

Thank goodness the Federal government came to the rescue and bailed out FRE and FNM. What happens when the Federal government is deemed bankrupt? This isn't a Bush issue. This isn't a McCain/Obama issue. This is an American issue. American citizens aren't saving money and neither is the federal government. The government should lead by example and spend less than revenues, pay down debt, and save money so that there is always a savings account within the Federal government. No United States government should be allowed to function in debt. There may need to be a reckoning but years of "suffering" and saving may be our only way out of the mess our whole country is in. The politicians need to stop promising and providing to citizens, what the government can't afford, and citizens must stop asking for hand outs. [more]

Should we start shorting oil? All of these comments right now is that oil is being pushed up by speculators. That typically supports a bubble short-term. Is $80 barrel of oil next or even $60?
