I've been looking at AOB to buy, but have been holding off for earnings friday. The estimate has been trending up, the stock has fallen this week, which would seem to open up a good entry point. It's PEG is .56, P/S 1.54, P/B 2.83, net margin is 18% and cash flow margin is 18.9%. The debt level is not too high. [more]
I couldn't help but chuckle on the drive to work this morning while listening to the radio. The fact they announced continuing unemployment claims dropped for the first time in 21 weeks. They had worked themselves into such a frenzy over it, they did everything except declare an end to the reccession. At least as a side note they mentioned new claims still rose. [more]
I just used the Limit Order feature to set Limit Close on 5 of my picks and it closed them at the market price just as if I had ended the picks. I set Upper Close Limits and the stock price never came near the limit. I would use caution with this feature until they get the bugs worked out.
I looked at housing in my local area to get an idea of what the current trend is and I see it has begun accelerating to the downside the last few months at a far steeper decline than the previous 2 years. I looked at a specific property that sold 05-06-09 because it was in better condition than most of the surrounding properties. [more]
I've seen and heard a lot of noise about Green shoots in economic activity. Seen, as in been involved in making sure the materials/goods are available to supply that activity. Heard, as in the Media. Beginning in late Feburary there was a surge of demand across all sectors we deal in (we don't handle bulk commidities--dry or liquid). As of late April that demand has tailed off and has now reached the levels of the dismal January demand. [more]
