The news that Liberty Media is bagging 90% of its stake in Barnes and Noble, while understandable, was still a bit surprising. While Liberty isn’t taking a loss on the position, it’s also safe to say that the small gain wasn’t what they expected and the bottom line was that they were placing a bet on the Nook and they were wrong.
