December 31, 2009 –
As the world prepares to close out ’09, Fools have moved the Foolanthropy donation past the $9000 mark. Fools’ posts and comments through the end of the day yesterday have raised the Foolanthropy total to $9,093.90 .

December 30, 2009 –
As we move through the last days of 2009, Fools continue their participation online. Posts and comments through yesterday have brought the total Foolanthropy donation so far to $8,797.00
December 29, 2009 –
Yesterday was the first Monday after Christmas. While many people are taking off until after New Years, Fools were hard at it. Posts and comments from the Fool community through the end of the day yesterday pushed the Foolanthropy donation to $8541.80 .
December 28, 2009 –
If you’ve been following these posts you know I took a few days off last week. But Fools stayed busy, posting and commenting straight through Christmas. Since my last report, this activity stuffed over a thousand dollars into the Foolanthropy stocking, bringing the total to $8292.90 through the end of yesterday.
December 22, 2009 –
Your trusty Data Fool was snowed in yesterday and wasn’t able to post the updated Foolanthropy tally. I made the slippery trek to Fool HQ this morning however. And I was glad to see that, although the DC area was effectively shut down this weekend, Fools continued their online discussions unabated. The recent activity on the articles, blogs and boards packed over a thousand dollars onto the Foolanthropy donation since my last update, bringing the total to $7,115.80 through the end of the day Monday. Despite the fact that it was Free Shipping Day, Fools found time yesterday to leave enough blogs and comments to drive The Motley Fool donation amount to $6,141.10 .
December 17, 2009 –
The members Motley Fool Community kept up their participation yesterday with another very active day for Article Comments. The Motley Fool donation is now at $5,815.20.
December 16, 2009 –
On December 4, members of The Motley Fool community put up the highest ever daily total of CAPS blog comments in response to this year’s Foolanthropy campaign. While letting the blogs cool off a bit, Fools have continued their record setting level of participation. Yesterday ranked as the highest ever for Article comments, with a total of 691. In addition to providing a trove of money and investing advice, which we will collect and pass on to the students of Thurgood Marshall Academy, this effort helped move this year’s Foolanthropy donation amount up to $5,498.50. December 15, 2009 –
As of the end of the day Monday, members of The Motley Fool community have moved the amount of the Foolanthropy donation to $5,155.10 . As a reminder, all Fools’ posts and comments during the Foolanthropy campaign help support the Thurgood Marshall Academy. You can read more about the school here.
December 14, 2009 –
Members of The Motley Fool community have, through their posts and comments, grown the Foolanthropy donation to $4,873. With 26 days left, there is plenty of time to push that number even higher.
December 11, 2009 –
The holiday season is a busy time of year. But the members of the Motley Fool community found time to share their thoughts and give a little for a good cause. Through Thursday, Fools had driven the Foolanthropy donation amount up to $4223.30 .
December 10, 2009 –
The Foolanthropy donation train keeps chugging along. On the CAPS Blogs things have settled down from the breakneck pace of earlier this week. Wednesday’s daily total of CAPS blog comments was 372. Overall community activity added a healthy amount to the donation, with the total through yesterday at $3916.10.
December 09, 2009 –
CAPS Blog comments from Tuesday hit 559, down a bit from Monday’s 808, but still making the top ten of all time daily totals. As of the end of the day Tuesday, The Motley Fool donation was at $3,604.90.
December 08, 2009 –
Continued strong performance has increased the current Foolanthropy donation total to $3,282.50 as of the end of the day Monday. We logged another incredible day on the boards with a total of 808 comments, nearly tying Friday’s all time high. Great job Fools !
