Wow! What a Website!

December 06, 2007 – Comments (1)

Wow!

I dont know how long they've had a ASP master on staff, but this place just got the nuts and bolts that put it way ahead of any other financial web site that I've seen before.

Hey, while you are at it why not put in a few tabs that automatically apply some key valuation methods!

Again, Awesome site,

Ok ok, apparently theres some kind of limit (200) on the stocks that I can rate.   I had no idea.  Reading instructions didnt seem so important for this.  So given that I think I will start using the Fools DCF calculator.  Nice piece of equipment.  [more]

New Century Financial

While I find New Century and the fall of all the subprime lending good for my caps rating, I wonder just how the whole situation was allowed to go on like it did.   And on top of that, what is going to happen now that it has and who is going to pay for all this?  I mean how can a multibillion dollar company be based on the theory that "We just give away money as fast as possible and collect whatever interest comes back!" ?  And on top of that, who's going to collect on all this / pay for all the bad debt?  Is this the time to buy PRAA?  It's all a bunch of malarky.    [more]

What I'm using this for

February 19, 2007 – Comments (0)

Caps is great. I love to follow stocks and what not, but it's always a hassle to add them to a portfolio in Yahoo or whatever. Here I just click a few times and voila I've got a list with a starting price and everything. It's almost too easy, I've got 20 some-odd picks coming active tomorrow, and I might be reaching a point where I just have too many. Eventually I'll run some DCF calcs and put in some price targets of my own. I'd like to develop a system of sorts and see how that goes.  [more]
