I keep seeing articles lately about Chinese investments (or efforts to complete investments) into mining companies and oil/gas producers (as I recall, Rio, Petrobras, an Australian miner (OZ?)) were among the recent investment efforts. I've probably missed a few, and there may be others that are not hitting the press because they are not as big. I haven't followed global investment/commodity trends so I don't know that this is a new trend or just a coincidental series of high profile events.  [more]
