Ok. I'm no economist. I do, however, own a small business. I can see my customers' spending patterns. Then I hear an occasional economic pundit use the "R" word. For example on NPR the other day "We have a 52% chance of going into a recession". Then the same economist tells us his colleagues tell him he's too pessimistic. [more]

Somebody explain this company to me. I found it on a screener of my own design that put immr on top. Trailing twelve months it's made 4.04 per share. Very nice on a stock costing about $20 ($14 earlier this week). HOWEVER, they're going to lose money in this quarter and the next. Further the analysts think that they'll make $0.04 in '08 (That's 4 cents. That's a forward p/e of something like 500!) [more]

I looked into adding eResearchTechnology Inc. (ERES) to my CAPS list today. My calculation of their value is that they are fully valued: my calculation of their PEG is (a very optimistic) 1.07. I think that it is a crap shoot which way they go vs the market. For this reason, i will not add ERES to my CAPS list except on a significant move in price.
