The U.S. has become the Youtube of countries

July 19, 2009 – Comments (5)

I believe the most overlooked aspect of consumption in the United States of America is that the entire world comes here to consume.  It's not just citizens of this country.  The U.S. is a veritable buffet for anyone who can get here.  People come here from every corner of the earth to spend, do business, make money, etc.  [more]

Even the Chinese are "FAT AMERICANS"

July 18, 2009 – Comments (5)

Problem is that China's fortunes have been built on trade to the U.S.  China has shored up it's fortunes with U.S. Treasuries...2 billion of them.  Other 2nd and 3rd world countries don't need China's cheaply built products because these other countries already have economic problems of their own, and peasantries of their own to do their manufacturing.  [more]

Financial Weathermakers and Gods

The market will almost always do the thing you were not expecting it to do.  Remember, if you believe it is manipulated, as many do including me, you must also recognize that the manipulators are aware of what you and other analysts expect.  For best results, they would calculate what was needed to scare or destroy those following the logical market movements, employ enough capital and volume to geta all the rats running for cover, then scoop up the piles of cash that comes flying out of your pockets as you bolt out the door.  [more]

Talking Heads and the Daily Rumor (I mean News)

July 01, 2009 – Comments (0)

You do what you can with the tools at your disposal.  For instance, we all have CAPS and the Fool, and probably a miriad of other sources that we use to research our picks.  And I believe some of the best contrarian sources of information we have are the Mainstream Broadcast News, The Mainstream Press, Entertainment News Shows (i.e. Cramer) and the Government, starting at our own HOA's, working up through Town Hall, into the State, Federal and Finally the International News.  [more]
