Well, the last few weeks have been very rough for my CAPS rating (95+ down to the mid 60s!), score, and accuracy, as well as for my real portfolio.  I'm sure I'm in good company on the real portfolio bit... but I wonder why my picks have in such a large percentage turned for the worse recently compared to the S&P500.  I know I tend to pick the smaller companies, and maybe that is simply the explanation, that the small cap market is just more volatile, and thus more extreme downsides.  But that seems unsatisfying for an answer.  I don't think I am overly concentrated in any one industry either.  I may be underrepresented in some, such as housing :-), but these companies don't show up on my screens, since my screens tend to stay away from leveraged/debt-based businesses.  [more]
