3 Deflation vs. Inflation - An anecdote

I work in two buildings, in two states, on a regular basis. One is in Pennsylvania, where the price of a bottle of soda was just changed from $1.25 to $1.30. The other is in New Jersey, where the price of a bottle of soda was just changed from $1.25 to $1.15. I guess that's a net win for me, but what the hell does it mean in context of the inflation/deflation debate? :-)

I just made over 40 sector bets using 2x and 3x ETFs - my predictions for what will happen in the new year and beyond. My accuracy has been historically high; I've just never learned when to close out a bet, making my score pathetically low. Lets see if I can get my accuracy back up into the 70s while also learning from past mistakes, and get back into the top 50 in the process. [more]
