Cash is KING? Short term, yes. Long term, no.

October 17, 2008 – Comments (3) | RELATED TICKERS: IVV , RWIFX

Fear is all over the financial markets. Money flees out of stocks, coporate bonds, and commodities. Many want to hold on to their cash to feel safe during this inevitable economy downturn. At the same time, central bank is injecting money directly to the banking firms. With all the effort, the credit market is still frozen like a giant iceburg. So cash has been raised to fill the big hole that has been created for the last decade. Nothing lef?   [more]

It's time for FED to lower rate again (50+ basis points)

October 17, 2008 – Comments (1) | RELATED TICKERS: BAC , ABX , POT

It's time for FED to provide the floor for the stock markets of the world before the chance goes away.

No inflation risk since price of all commodities gone south (Crude Oil $72), in my opinion.

GLD down 5% to $79, it is time to buy

October 16, 2008 – Comments (3) | RELATED TICKERS: GLD , GG , GOLD

Gold is the safe haven of the economy downturn. I believe that gold is down because of excessive leveraged funds are getting margin calls and looking for cash to cover. They have to sell their winners quick. Just look at how fast the commodity stocks dive.

After these selling fraziness fades, gold will return above $1000/ounce due...

Now US gov has to shutdown S&P and Moody like credit rating firms

October 10, 2008 – Comments (0) | RELATED TICKERS: AIG , GM , BAC

Lowering credit rating on many banks, financial firms or GM like trouble business companies has come too late. Any rating downgrade on financial firms will only make the credit crunch even worse. Banks can't raise cash after seeing their stock dive. They have to cling to their cash so no lending for others.   [more]

FED may cut 50 basis points next week? Which sector will soar if that happen?

October 04, 2008 – Comments (2) | RELATED TICKERS: GLD , MOS , C

700B bailout alone failed to inspire the market. It is now asking for rate cut.

If that happen next week, which sector will rally the most?

My bet is on gold diggers like GG, AU, AUY, KGC, GOLD. The reason is USD will sink and gold will go up.

Anyone see things differently ?
