I have read quite a few posts on here lately where the poster says something to the effect of "that stock has a high beta therefore it is more risky." I believe this is a gross generalization of beta. Beta does not factor how risky a company is. It does not factor in things like cash on hand, debt, future growth, likelihood of bankruptcy, etc. [more]

I wanted to take this time to thank the bears on CAPS for keeping me entertained everyday. Somehow they find a new article, chart, sign, etc. every single day to write about. I love reading these blogs, love reading the comments and really love it when a bull responds and they get snippy. I just picture them sitting at their computer all day staring at charts and refreshing their favorite news web site every 3 seconds looking for bad news. So thank you bears for bringing me a few minutes of entertainment each day, without you CAPS would not be the same. [more]

I may just be an eternal optimist, but as an INVESTOR I find that any market condition is an opportunity. There seems to be a lot of SPECULATION on CAPS about what the near term future holds for the market. If you are an investor it really doesn't matter. [more]
