Fake News: Netanyahu demands America Land Swaps

May 22, 2011 – Comments (3)

Fake News:

In a speech today at AIPAC, Prime Minister Netanyahu voiced concerns over American/Mexican illegal immigration border issues resulting in widespread violence over the last few decades.

Prime Minister Netanyahu reiterated his earlier assertion than in any peace deal between America and Mexico, borders need to be identified.  He said that America should go back to Pre-1845 borders, before America annexed Texas, so that then the two parties, America and Mexico, can engage in Land Swaps.

The land swaps would determine the appropriate borders between the two parties, so that there can finally be peace between America and Mexico.  Border patrol agents have lost their lives at the border, Americans have been kidnapped or killed near the Border, and illegal drug cartel violence has spread to Arizona in recent days.

While Prime Minister Netanyahu recognizes the importance of America's security and the need for an IRON DOME Fence to be built, such security can not be completed until borders are clearly defined.

It was clear Netanyahu was upset over the controversy over his Pre-1845 borders remarks and took the opportunity to clarify them today at AIPAC.  [more]

AMAZON vs. GAMESTOP

May 16, 2011 – Comments (4) | RELATED TICKERS: AMZN , GME

Gamestop has Amazon beat left and right this year.  Feel free to correct me if I am wrong on some of my statements below because I simply could not FIND  Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 on Amazon to pre-order it....  If someone actually finds it today then I stand corrected.

But....  When you have Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3  pre-order available on Gamestop and not on Amazon?  That is  1 point (GME).........0 points (AMZN).

When you have 2 free DLCs offered when you Pre-Order Duke Nukem Forever: Balls of Steel at Gamestop and Amazon only offers $3.00 you can spend towards an MP3 song, then the winner again goes to (GME).    That is 2 points (GME)........... 0 points (AMZN).

When you have free in-game exclusives for Pre-Ordering LA NORE at Gamestop and AMZN offers $15 promo credit towards the purchase of something else...... You have to realize Gamestop's exclusives are equal in value to the $15.00 promo credit as far as my experience goes with DLC exclusives.     So?   They both get a point on this one.

AMAZON is offering their $15 promo credit, obviously, because Gamstop was able to get the exclusivity.  Amazon uses these Promo credits as a way to try to win over customers when they can not offer DLCs with the pre-order of the game.

The $15 Promo Credit would be nice if I could use the money to later purchase the DLCs that Gamestop provides if/when they become available on XBOX Live.  Otherwise the credit is perhaps useless if Gamstop keeps winning exclusivity.

Also.... Sales Tax is quickly becoming a non-issue.   The 99 cent per item charge that you get charged buying anything on AMAZON may mean you still pay that charge despite the FREE super saver shipping at Amazon.   There's no such charge at Gamestop and if you live in a state where you have to pay Sales Taxes on Online Purchases then the advantage for Amazon....well let's just say the GAP has been filled.  [more]

CEO Disinterested in cutting debt

May 12, 2011 – Comments (4)

There is a CEO that shockingly has expressed disinterest in cutting the company's debt...in fact shareholders are worried the CEO is going to increase the debt this year by 10% and another 10% next year, for the remaining 2 years of his tenure.   Next year when the company meets for their shareholder meeting, they will get to decide if the CEO should stay or be booted out.

On the most recent conference call for Q1, one shareholder asked the CEO, given that employees in similar companies, similar lines of business, are seeing widespread job cuts, and in fact this pregnant shareholder just lost her job, what the CEO would do in her place.

The CEO expressed how important it is to keep employees hired but never got around to answering the question about what the CEO would do in her place.

Another shareholder voiced some concerns over the comapny's debt rating, which recently got lowered from stable to negative by Standard and Poors.  The CEO said that Standard and Poors was just playing politics and only the outlook was being lowered, not the actual debt rating itself...It was a clear sign for investors that the CEO was paying little attention to any potential future negative impacts to the company's ability to borrow.

In a recent letter issued to shareholders by Goldman Sachs, it was clear that the commodities drop in recent days would reverse itself and perhaps reach record levels next year.  A stock analyst on the conference call asked the CFO what he thought of that in regards to what could be done to hedge against this...given that higher commodity costs would do further damage to the company's already balooning expenses (which have resulted in negative EPS quarter after quarter for the last 9 quarters).

The CFO answered that they are perfectly happy to keep purchasing their resources from Brazil and they saw no current need to hedge against rising commodity prices.

But perhaps the scariest bit of news that has hit the front page in recent days was the earnings report showing a jaw dropping, $40 Billion loss in last quarter's earnings alone....  $40 Billion!

Oh and the company I speak of is the United States Government (USG).

(CEO) President Obama
(CFO) Ben Bernanke  [more]

Bad News for Sony is Good News for You

May 08, 2011 – Comments (0) | RELATED TICKERS: SNE

A word of caution as I am not a professional..just a blogger here...  But as an advid video gamer I have to say that what Wall Street thinks and feels about (SNE) is not going to fly....I mean there is the Video Gamer mentality and Wall Street mentality and those 2 do not meet.

Wall Street Mentality:   Sony share price doomed to underperformance for years as it deals with lawsuits for their insecure network problems.  Sony will spend billions having to repair their network and restore trust to the Video Gamer community....subscribers could be lost for Everquest, Qriocity, and other businesses... Sony's future short term is bleak....sell sell sell...

Video Gamer Menality:  Sony's got God of War franchise, Final Fantasy, Blu Ray Player Technology, and all kinds of awesome video game franchises than the Junk-Box doesn't have...and who cares about Nintendo's WII anymore if anyone ever did???  Besides, Video Gamers just want their playstation network back so we can play more Mortal Kombat Krotos style!!

The reality is the share price for (SNE) is undervalued simply because it always is.....I mean when does it not fail?

American Express gets into trouble and everyone thinks the company is going to lose business due to their reputation taking a hit.... But then Warren Buffet buys American Express shares and what happens?  The Wall Street menality doesn't pan out.... The Stock rallys higher....and Warren Buffet is richer because of it.

Buy when investors are SCARED of a stock....

And with Sony.... Buying into Sony's Stock right now means you are buying while WALL STREET is *Scared* but Video Gamers are not.

It's the video gamers that matter....not anything else.... and Sony keeps their gigantic Market Share
lead in the Console Video Game Market intact, then the share price will rally.

Some things to speculate about:

1)  Sony could benefit by charging $$$$ for playstation network at least for the next Playstation Console System thus having money available to improve Security....and it would result in better earnings overall...

2)  Sony will learn from their massive series of mistakes and grow from them into a much better company overall.  American Express did.

3)  Playstation System Sales have grown DOUBLE DIGITS year over year last month and I so far this year.   The Fan Base isn't just growing for Sony.... It is growing by leaps and bounds... This Crisis is only temporary and it too shall pass.

In the end it is about the VIDEO GAMES and nothing else much matters.... When you are the only CONSOLE system in town with BLU RAY technology, the 3rd Party Developers will never abandon you.

Varchild Demands Eric Holder's Resignation

May 05, 2011 – Comments (4)

While Wallstreeter's were amazed in awe over the Commodities meltdown, while Commodities bulls sat their squirming in their seats boasting that this is just a "short term blip" in an other wise Commodity bull run....

I happen to disagree vehemently...  The commodity meltdown is for REAL!!!!

You can try to *fool* investors.....try to pull the wool over our eyes about how Supply and Demand economics on OIL/GAS somehow no longer applies because the Dollar is tanking....and a dropping U.S. Dollar means Commodities across the board, not just OIL, should skyrocket to new record highs day in and day out.

Well?  The SCAM!!!!!  IS UP!!!!!!!        Commodity Investors?    You're FIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jobless claims have finally proven out that the demand destruction for Gas / Oil and other commodities is simply not there.... We have a Double Dip Recession in at least the Housing Market now....sitting at worse levels than at any time in 2009.

GIVE ME A BREAK!!!  Give us all a BREAK HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for Eric Holder?

1)  Documents now show that Top Ranking Officials knew about Project Gunrunner including Eric Holder's own Vice Attourney General..

2)  It was Eric Holder that started the Witch Hunt to go after our CIA Interrogator Heroes whose enhanced interrogations helped start the process which lead to the killing of Osama Bin Laden.

The GIG is UP  Eric....  You can pull the wool over eyes attempting to "DENY" that you ever knew anything about Project Gun Runner.....   This is the project that sent Firearms across the border to Mexico's Drug Cartels....which lead to the death of at least 1 Border Agent.....as Border Agents weren't allowed to have Firearms to defend themselves.

ERIC HOLER????   GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   GIVE US ALL BREAK!!!!!!!!!!

Resign immediately.....and save us the headache of impeachment proceedings.  [more]

So What Happened today?

May 02, 2011 – Comments (8)

Can anyone tell me what all the Hubub is about?  People acting all funny like something big happened or something....  But, I am looking at the Stock Market close and it is obvious to me nothing much happened at all.  Another hum drum ho hummity hummity hum hum hum day in Wall Street.

Dollar still down...

Oil Prices pair losses to close around $113 a barrel...

DOW, S&P, NASDAQ trade lower...

(F) Ford Motor Company slips 2 cents despite April Sales News looking as strong as March was.

(GM) up 9 cents on same news...yawn

Chrysler produced their first profitable quarter since bankruptcy but pretty much the entire automotive stocks fell asleep..

(GME) Gamestop shoots up 71 cents in the open but closes up 10 cents.   yawn.....

(AAPL)  Trades down $3.85.....signalling what? No more iPhone calls to Osama Bin Laden by Al Queda sleeper cells in North America? ?  or what?

Welp..... I guess investors went from Exuberant over something that happeend ....and ended the day down in the dumps over Auto Production Slumps expected in May/June..and higher commodity costs still....well....being higher.

My Advice?    WAKE     *************************               UP  ************************************

Let the morons sell in May and Go away while you gobble up stock like a crazy man living his last days doing what a crazy man loves to do....and that is buying stock in great companies while the market prices them cheaper for you.  [more]
