Is it gambling? Betting? Hedging? Shorting? Investing?

Gambling is point of sale, instant gratification or bust (free alcholic drinks)=day trading-if your not drinking you might not panic and will either even or gain. Betting is borrowing to gamble=so is margin...except something "BAD," does not happen to you, you just loose what you put in+interest (which is bad only if it is easier to get legs your legs broken). Hedging is The Godfather option, "I will make him an offer he can't refuse", basically gambling with a posee; all guns loaded and a will to do anything. Shorting....well it is; a basic Con that sells you something that they believe will, and is worth horse manure. Investing is all of the above and crossing your finger's that in the end comes down to your smarts (or stupidity), TRUST, numbers that are REAL, and TRUE, and hope patrons' in your 5 star restaurant don't see the Coackroaches that are always there.
