Anchak gave me a heads-up on this discount site: www.zecco.com. Anybody use this- is this for real- $0 commission on up to 10 per month?

If this is true, I think I got snuckered by Sharebuilder at $12 per month.

ETF's - Bird's Eye View

New and still learning on ETF's. But as I am new, I'm cautious. I understand they are excellent as hedging and for short-term sector plays. However, I'm questioning their merits in building up a long-term Portfolio. I really like FloridaBuilder's idea on going into ITB but before I invest my hard-earned cash, I want to know if this makes sense. Is the risk-reward worth dumping/jumping into this. The opportunity cost appears to include a long-long horizon for rebuilding. Something tells me its safer right now to store my money under my mattress as my current bank, Citizens Bank, is now a penny stock.  [more]

As for value, I don't know, they don't know and we don't know when we'll know.  My sense, I have no hard knowledge, is the Net Asset Valuations, the underlying value of the real estate for the equity REITs, is at a minimum 15-25% off what analysts are thinking. In turn, this will begin being reflected in the valuation.   [more]
