Once again domestic trucks and cars imported from Japan has maintained to be in Americans bestsellers list for many years and decades. Domestic cars has also made it in the American bestsellers list according to FORBES: The bestselling cars and trucks of 2011. In my opinion it's an amazing feat that with Japan's production woes they managed to maintain some spots in America's bestsellers list although losing some spots to domestic cars. [more]

My comment about this article is regards to the Honda Element. In regards to quality issuses from collegues experiences Honda has addressed them to above satisfactory. Honda Element had a niche until Scion Xb, Nissan Cube, and Kia Soul grabbed a huge market share with smaller, under powered, inexpensive, and etc. variants. With the discontinuation of the Honda Element and its limited production during Honda's competitors got into the niche market, used Honda Elements will hold its resale value well because of its cult following (lookup Element Owners Club) also there's so much room in the engine bay that a larger engine can be dropped in. Finally rumors has it that a revamped Honda Element may return based on a Honda Civic platform than the Honda CRV platform to drastically reduce the cost without sacrificing quality to better compete with Scion Xb, Nissan Cube, and Kia Soul.
