I've been listing my daily picks here since the first of the year. [more]
Wednesday's pick was yet another regional bank, BKMU. [more]
My wishlist is finally getting short.
I still made one purchase today, CRD-B.
Overall results on "Today's Picks" will be updated here at the end of this week.
CAPS kept giving me error messages every time I tried to post a new blog. So here's what you missed (assuming this one goes through): [more]
Monday's a day off so I'll give you this one early. [more]
Another regional bank? Why not, my other three are up 5, 10 and 20% in 3, 5 and 7 weeks respectively. Not all regionals are created equal, I wouldn't just go with an etf here, but two Virginia/DC banks score at the top of my list. UBSH, and ANCX. I'm going with the former.
If you don't want another bank, look at CLMT or AHS.
Finally found a health care related stock that passed my screens and filters. [more]
I like BDC's in general and I like the idea of floating rate loans in the current low-interest environment. I think PFLT has the right stuff so I'm buying some today.
I think it's the best way to play MLP's and the like right now.
Some other high-scorers for your consideration:
Oh, to have gotten in on the ground floor of that one! [more]
Once again, I’m abstaining. I want some cash in hand down the road when I expect prices to be generally lower. If I was buying I’d go with something big and relatively safe, in this case, PHG. [more]
Yep, yesterday's blog had a typo in the title. But that's not the worst of it! [more]
Still sitting on some cash, waiting for a correction.
If I can get in at a decent price I will buy CCUR tomorrow.
Other than that, my only move is to add SNY to CAPS
I'm not buying anything today as I expect the correction to last a few weeks but I did add yet another regional bank to my CAPS. If I was buying, I'd buy FDEF.
I'm selling two of my picks from early January, CNO and PRCP and I'm buying PTP.
I rarely try to time the market but I'm going to sell more than I buy this week in expectation of a February correction. Estimate 60% chance of a 10%(?) correction. Confidence level: more than average but its not like I'm selling all or most of my equities. I just want to have a little extra cash on hand in case I'm right. I would look for a temporary correction and back to a bull market starting in March.
