Panera Bread (PNRA)

If you like what you read check out more,
For those of you who don't know, Panera Bread Company, together with its subsidiaries, operates and franchises retail bakery-cafes in the United States.  Right now they are looking very good in their sector having the foresight to lock in cheaper wheat prices boosting their earnings potential.  In addition the technicals look good.  The price just bounced off a long standing trendline yesterday and it had an up day today.  Looking for a minimum of 4 pts and if it crosses 54, which has been a recent point of resistance, should definitely see more upside.  So either long on the stock or if you cannot afford the stock, the $50 call options are reasonably priced just over 2 bucks.  [more]

AMLN - Amylin Pharmaceuticals Inc.

June 05, 2008 – Comments (0)

Amylin Pharmaceuticals Inc is a drug company who specializes in Diabetes medication.  They are playing in their superbowl this weekend at the American Diabetes Association annual meeting.  They are not releasing any new drugs but a lot of reports are expected on the efficiency of their current drug Exenatide.  If the doctors reports are good we expect this to break out to the upside breaking through the top of the ascending triangle it is in as well as breaking the 61.8% Fibonacci level that has been holding it down since the beginning of '08.  Look for the $35 dollar call options if the stock break $33.50.  If the reports are not so good mixed with the emergence of a few of their competitors finally jumping into the arena of making a long acting diabetes control drug, the stock won't break out to the upside and the $30 Put Options are at a bargain price right now.  [more]
