Today there was subtle news that raised my eyebrows a bit and confirms one of my suspicions that most people are off the mark when it comes to the largest concern we should have for our portfolios. And the concerns are not do I sell off and go "all in" on gold and/or other commodities to protect myself from inflation. I think it is more like do I sell off and go "all in" to cash to protect myself from deflation such that my dollars go further down the road. [more]

Today was not a good day for any investment whether it was up or down. It was a clear sign that the market is too easily manipulated per my response to TMFSinchiruna below. Seriously folks, we ALL need to use today as a call to arms to save any semblance of a level playing field in the markets. And yes, I am not naive but I do have a sincere hope that the markets can indeed be fair as honest, efficient capital markets due benefit our entire world over long periods of time. [more]
