At this point we've heard many theories regarding the mechanics of Thursday crash. It seems plausible that many of market partcipants simply stayed back when market stayed sliding too fast  and thus there were no buyers in the market. It seems the original slide was the result of currency markets exterme movements and stop loss orders kicking in.  [more]
