My avenues of investment break down into particular categories. These catagories have different behavior characteristics, the the way my money (or picks in the case of CAPS) is divided amongst them will have an important effect on my results, relative to the S&P 500 in any given year. The actual percentage division amongst categories is to a degree planned, but to a great extent, accidental, based upon availability factors. Taken together, I believe that they provide a compelling, risk averse method for intelligent, and opportunistic investors to handily outperform the broad market index with considerably less risk.
