I have a personal philosophy of always trying to look back on mistakes I've made and spend at least as much time understanding why I screwed up as I do trying to understand why something went well. So here are some of my worst moves on the stock market to date (and they are pretty bad) and a thought or two about each one. [more]
April 30, 2009 –
Quietly and almost without fanfare, restaurant stocks have been perhaps the biggest performers on the market since the early March lows. Who is going to claim to have seen that coming? I don't believe you if you do. I own just 2 restaurant stocks, and reviewed a third before deciding not to buy it (BAD CHOICE!!!!). [more]
April 28, 2009 –
I have in my adult life been a loyal patron of American cars. Largely this is because I just like what they have to offer lately - C6 Corvettes, the Caddy CTS, etc. But in part this is out of a sense of national pride and loyalty to my fellow citizens. [more]

Mondays have been the weakest days of this entire rally. Mondays are on average well down, even considering that one radical +55 Monday. [more]

Sentiment on the web remains extremely bearish, extremely bearish. I've spent alot of time reading CAPs this weekend, and by a loose count bearish entries must outnumber bullish ones 5:1. In fact, severely bearish commentaries remain basically the norm, and extremely bullish commentaries practically don't exist. [more]
