Foolish Q: how would you do financial industry reform?

I have read any number of Fool articles about how impotent current proposals for financial industry reform are, and I agree. OK, here is my question: how would you reform the financial industry?? My thoughts are putting Glass-Steagall back into law, and strict leverage limits: Banks = 10:1, Insurance companies = 20:1, hedge funds and investment banks = 30:1, and, by the way, CDS by anyone besides a principal is illegal. What are your thoughts?

OK, so how much is a trillion dollars?

I saw somthing called the "big red calculator" on amazon the other day. It has enough digits to display trillions without going into exponent mode. The packaging was very funny.  [more]
