There's something looming on the horizon that reminds me of a commercial I heard a while ago.  While I don't remember the particulars, the commerical was critical of 'light' beers - suggesting that they'd been around long before the recent slate of low-calorie offerings we now see.  [more]

First, I hope you all had a safe and enjoyable new year's celebration!  Ours was both.  Mrs. Eldrehad and I spent the evening watching a movie at home and, as we ususally do, turning in before the stroke of midnight.  For me, at least, the allure of ushering in the new year at the stroke of 12:00 isn't quite worth the impact of the loss of a couple hours of sleep the next day (especially since Little Eldrehad isn't one to usually allow her parents to sleep in all that much).  Besides, the next day was a busy one in our home with all the lights and decorations to take down, box up, and put on the shelves in our garage where they will gather a bit of dust until next year's holiday season is upon us.  [more]
