Every year, pharma executive magazine does an industry audit and ranks the best performers. The article looks at a number of industry metrics including sales changes, sales per assets, per employee, margins, etc. This years top dog was Gilead Sciences. Its a good read, but it is backward looking (as it can only be). Better, is an interview, actually more a series of podcasts with the article writer as he pontificates for a couple hours on pharma metrics, direction, quality, etc. Great series of talks if you have the time to listen and are a pharma junkie. Lots of good things to say about operations like JNJ (which I own). TMFHelical Home Coverage Fool [more]
