CFTC going after Corzine

June 27, 2013 – Comments (1) | RELATED TICKERS: SH , OME

I argued with Alex here why at least civil charges should have been brought against Corzine.  I thought I presented a reasonable argument which was worth exploring.  Alex, of course, just called me names and tried to argue how I was completely wrong.  [more]

Just Cut Off China

June 24, 2013 – Comments (28) | RELATED TICKERS: CUT , OFF

OK this is a scotch alert.  I say cut China off at their knees.  Allowing Snowden to leave was a slap in the face.  I am not saying Snowden is guilty or innocent.  If the guy had any guts he would stand up to his purported principles.  Whistleblower = not guilty.  Traitor = guilty.  Let the jury decide.  But he is a coward.  He runs instead.  China could have turned him over but they didn't.  China NEEDS the US, the US doesn't NEED China.  They poison us with their plastics and food. They dump their goods on us.  They play games with the whole stock market reverse repos.  They attack our internet.  They steal our technology.  [more]

Xerox yet again

June 18, 2013 – Comments (7) | RELATED TICKERS: XRX , DDD

I've been suggesting this stock for awhile now, and I own it real life.  I just wanted to share an interesting interview  with Xerox's CTO.  You don't have to watch the whole thing but fast forward at least to the end where the CTO actually displays something Xerox developed: chiplets.  These enable you to actually use them in 3D printing, enabling printing of circuitry.  [more]

1937 Redux?

June 18, 2013 – Comments (0) | RELATED TICKERS: B , S

Well in 1937 the Fed and Congress thought it a good idea to turn hawkish and reign in things.  The end result was to create a recession in a depression.  Bernanke, being a student of the Depression years understands the ramifications.  The media, however, lacks any real news so they need to use "to taper or not to taper" as an explanation for momentary stock movements.  Basically the market is doing what I had hoped it would, mainly consolidating and moving sideways until the next leg up.  See: http://caps.fool.com/Blogs/sell-in-may/822739.  [more]

ATPG a Heist in Progress?

June 09, 2013 – Comments (9) | RELATED TICKERS: HE , I , ST

This stock has had more ups and downs than any I have followed since the crash.  At one time I and others advised people to buy the stock.  Then the BP oil spill happened and all bets were off.  Then things seemed to improve (tho in hindsight it was more delusional emotion).  I made the mistake to get back "on board" to my loss.  Ah well I learned a few lessons.  I've learned the value of free cash flow when concerning debt heavy companies.  I've also learned not to trust ATP management.    [more]
