Not too long ago, in fact I think it was in February but correct meif I am wrong,GPL went from a pink slip company ot being listed in the American stock exchange. Now they have gone one step further and are part of the Russell Global Index. Quite amazing, either that or I am too new in investing to know the difference. However, I do think this inidicative of their future, and those of their investors! [more]

So, yesterday it was released that Hecla consents to the state of Idaho, the Coeur d’Alene Tribe of Idaho, the EPA and other fed organizations. The article is exhausting, and the financial aspects, or payments, that HL will have to make and the timetable for said payments can be found between pgs. 10-16, though the article is much longer than that. This Pandora IPO release must have had me flogged as I completely missed some killer GPL news. Their quarterly report is out, and in short it was a record quarter with 7 million in profits....no small change. They are reporting a 15% increase in silver output, 79% increase in revenue per silver ounce sold, and on and on. If you were wondering whether to buy or sell GPL, wondering why it's been down for so long, read this report and you won't care anymore becuase this dog, or cat rather, will have it's day and when it does, you'll want to be on the cat's side... It is absolutely crazy, simply insane that this article is tue, which it is, unfortunately. You'd think, atleast I do, that people would not be clamoring to own more shares of Pandora at a higher price when they explicitly state they will lose money every quarter through 2012 and there is no promise that they can restructure deals with the music companies in 2015 that would ensure profits. I love its service but am floored by their biz model. Heck, if you want, give me your money and I'll lose it too. [more]

Now I love Pandora and my ability to listen to practically any genre of music I want wherever there is internet. But, I would never invest in the company, especially after reading this article. So, given that a lot of people have invested in other IPO's of late, LinkedIn comes to mind, I hope this will bring a bit of caution into perspective before becoming an owner in a business model that loses money. Oh how I do love its service though........ [more]
