In my opinion, short-selling seems to be a great way to get involved in the XM/Sirius situation. Both companies have began to really flatten out in terms of profitability, growth potential, and stock appreciation. First and foremost, I am hardly considered your professional investor. I do not have a finance (or accounting) degree or background, though I did take some corporate and personal finance classes. I truly believe that most people on this site have a similar level of intelligence as I do, therefore rendering them capable of smart and successful investing. My knowledge does not include derivative measures, like many of these hedge fund, money managers and I-bankers use. However, I possess several tools to help me value stocks, evaluate the firms balance-sheet health, and anticipate future trends in industries and sectors.
