Is Clean Diesel Technology here to stay?

About a month ago I stumbled upon a stock that was showing some price momentum so I added it to my watch list.  The company, Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. made a big move today, up more than 90% from yesterday's close, on news that its Heavy Duty Diesel Systems division has received nearly $2.0 million in orders for its verified (approved) emission reduction products.  Acording to CEO Charles Call,  "The orders that we have been anticipating to meet California's aggressive on-road diesel emissions standards have started to flow. This first wave is preliminary but it is the signal we have been waiting for. Ultimately, we believe that well over 100,000 trucks will have to comply with the regulations, largely between 2012 and 2014.'  [more]

How many people will actually switch to LED bulbs when the federal ban on incandescents takes effect next January?  A Yahoo article on new 100-Watt LED bulbs shines some light on this controversial topic.  New developments mean that brighter LED bulbs will likely go on sale next year, after a government ban takes effect. The new bulbs will also be expensive — about $50 each — so the development may not prevent consumers from hoarding traditional bulbs.  [more]

From an article on SA regarding Business Development Companies (BDCs). I'm a fan of BDCs in my IRA because they pay decent dividends and should continue to offer some share price appreciation over the next 5 to 10 years or more while (hopefully) continuing to increase the dividends.  But most of the really good deals are gone, at least for now.  [more]
