Have you ever wanted to know some great stories about one of the best sports movies ever made? I thought you did. ENJOY.
P.S. - Golf is a sport. If gambling is involved then it qualifies!
My beliefs are truths. Your beliefs are crap. Why? Good question. It is because my dogma's leaders have told me so when I was too young to know any better. Their deeply seeded narrowly focused world view keeps me safe from you and your dogma. If we discover we share the same dogma we can wag our tails happily in unison. If we find we differ then the teeth and claws we have been taught to bear by our dogmas must be put to use. After all, what good is it to know you are right if you are not prepared to fight over it? Oh, and I always win my fights. Always! It is good to be so right! [more]

I know it's not the same thing as the food replicator on TNG but it is still pretty cool.
Cato, The Dork
I thought this story to be interesting. The reporter writes with a "nanny-nanny boo-boo" tone of UK faux superiority. When I read it I hear Eric Idol's indignant voice in my head saying the words. Here is the link.
The reason is because it's crap. Crap. Crap. CRAP! [more]

I just finished reading this article about why Haiti is always on the short end of the stick. I had no idea to the extent Haiti was already damaged goods before the earthquake. My, God! That is one scary place. [more]
Last week I wrote a blog about not letting yourself get pulled into the mud by blogs designed to start a fight. I failed to include those that wish to start fights within our own blogs. Click here for such an example. I lost my cool and it shows in comment #10 & #11. I should have counted to 1,000, had a beer and said thirty Hale Warrens before deciding to reply. I do have to confess that I believe the provoker in question was probably out to take me down a peg or make a name for himself as opposed to making a valid point. I have not taken the time to report this sad soul to TMF for his spaming/attacking/rude ways. If you would like to I won't stop you. His kind only comes back with a new name and the same old garbage. Avatar is Kelo v. City of New London? David Henderson of the Washington Post seems to think so. Give me a break! I just want to watch a movie, forget about the real world for a while. Mr. Henderson is a fellow libertarian but that does not mean he gets a free pass from me for wanting to leech off the success of this movie for his own personal gain. I cry bullstein and shennanigans! The left tried this crap with the third Star Wars movie by claiming it was an anti Dubya film. I'm still irked about that. They persited with their opinion even after Lucas came out and said the script had been in its final form since the Clinton administration and had nothing to do with current affairs of 2003. [more]
Because it was the last date our government had a zero debt balance. One hundred seventy five years later...not so much. Food for thought. Talk amongst yourselves. :)
I am here to tick you off!!! Nah, just kidding. But some bloggers are. Think about it. You know them. They constant droan on about how their political point of view, investing philosophy or ability to predict the market is better than yours. Come on, you know their rhetoric fairly well by now. Why do you give them power to effect your mood? As a fully functioning adult you have the ability to control your emotions. Don't let yourself be pulled into the mud. [more]

CGA or NEP?! Who will win this contest? Who will stand on the podium of glory and shout to the world the words of the champtitudinous? Late in 2009 those in the know proclaimed 2010 as the year of the fertizers producers. Now with oil on the rise will Texas Tea taste all the sweeter? Both are growing. Both are well run. Both Both make Big Papa Jiabao smile. Which of these scrappy booming market small caps win the year? You make the call! [more]
Today I am at 97.00. What the hoobiedoobie?! How did this happen? I mean I SEE how it happened but I did not expect to be on the 97th floor for another two years. I only keep 35-40 picks in play at any one time. If I were you I would short all my picks because something is wrong and going to correct itself with avengence.
