NASA wants to, and says it can, put droids on our moon in 1,000 days. That sounds good and all, but where are they going to find the money?
My favorite large cap company that I don't own is Loews Corp (L). They have taken a beating over the last two years. However they are poised to recover with their insurance and oil/natural gas business leading the way. I only wish they had a better dividend. [more]
I did not like Bob Barr while he was in office as a Republican. I thought of him as a smug elitist bunghole, a slightly smarter verion of VP Joe Biden. Then he cut ties with his party. Later he joined the ranks of the Libertarian party, the one to which I belong. I found this encouraging. "Pehaps a zebra can change his stripes", I thought. Normally I don't take such callus or harsh positions against a country. Please find it in your heart to forgive me for what I am about to propose for Iceland. If you are a resident of the island in question feel free to attack me with claws and teeth for what I am about to propose. [more]
IRBT makes robotic vacuums and gutter cleaners for the civilian market. Why not a side walk and driveway shoveler as well? You crazy folk in the mid atlantic region would sell your first born for a machine like this. Contact IRBT to let them know you want such a device. They might do something about it if the demand is high enough. [more]
I like Toyota. I really do. I believe they build a superior product, historically. As a family we own one. It has been a great vehicle. It has shuttled us all over the country in all kinds of weather without fail. We plan on keeping for a long while. [more]

I am going to make a bold prediction: Apple will have a iPad-like large screen HDTV, AKA: iWall, in the market in three to five years. It will operate via touch screen, a Wii-type of remote and a traditional touchpad. It will allow you to access your security system, movies, cable, internet, and music. It will have a built in digital video recorder and will also have a webcam. [more]
Today in the beginning of the work week for most of us. Caffeine is not getting the job done today. I need something a little stronger. I need this. It's my weapon of choice. ;)
