There's been some discussion on GoodVibe4Ever's hopefully hoax-free blog lately about the parallels between the 1929 crash and the 2008 crash. It's worth reading - the chart shapes are eerily similar to the first phase of the 1929-1930 bear market where the Dow took a similar 50% -ish loss to the one it's taken lately. Between '30 and '33 the Dow lost ANOTHER 80%. A repeat peformance would see the S&P at 130 or so.   [more]
