Anti-stimulus measures

The stimulus supposedly "created or saved" 600,000 jobs (although that number appears to be rather dubious, we'll give them the benefit of the doubt for discussion purposes).  It cost something like $800 billion.  That's more than $1M per job.  How hard is it to create a job for a million?  Give me $1M, and I'll create a job for the next 10 years paying $34k per year - simply by investing the money in Treasuries.  I can pay someone $34k per year for 10 years to sit on their *ss and collect $1M at the end of it based on those numbers.  The question it raises is "what really happened to the stimulus money?"  [more]
