As I delve into Foolish Growth Investing...Thoughts?

I've been concentrating on value investing for most of my past investing history, and I thought it was about time to try my hand elsewhere and see if I can understand the growth investing style. What I've figured out so far is that it's much much harder than value investing. Even emotionally, growth stocks tend to go up and down by huge amounts only, making it really hard to handle. Take MAKO Surgical, a stock which fool has been recommending a lot recently...down 40+% in the last 5 days on increased sales....and yet I have a feeling that Fool will make sure to emphasize NOT SELLING, and I have a feeling they will be right and end up with a tidy gain in the long anyways, growth investing is tough and a lot more qualitative than I'm used too. I find myself listening to more conference calls and watching interviews for example, something that I don't normally do, but I guess will help me as a value investor as well.  [more]
