If you picked outperform on the Health care bear, and got a price of $0 as your starting price, what would happen in terms of caps score? divide by 0 error? I'm just wondering because i had never seen a stock on fool with a price of $0. Glitch?

Market misplaced value stocks are often seen with low P/E values. However, value traps are stocks that commonly trade at these same low P/E values. I composed a screen that found stocks that were at low P/E's, and just above their 52 week low-meaning they commonly traded at higher P/E's then they are at now(implying that current market pricing may be an anomaly). I also added these restrictions: based in USA, low P/E and forward P/E, less than 10% above 52wk low, positive past and future EPS/sales growth for last and next 5 years, quick ratio over 1, debt/equity under 0.4, return on equity over 10%, positive return on investment and return on assets, PEG under 1. Technical analysis, unlike Fundamental analysis, is not a science. As zzlangerhans mentioned to me yesterday, "consider it to be the herbal medicine of the stock market, beloved by its proponents but never subjected to prospective testing." And he might be right(the call I made yesterday is doing just about the opposite....). However, it IS a math. In fact, I have seen that technical simplicities such as the simple and exponential moving average are signs that even fundamental investors sometimes use as sell signals. [more]
