I just finished Phil Fisher's Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits, and I highly recommend it to any serious investor.  Fisher focuses on the qualitative aspects that a company must have in order to grow.  This is very powerful stuff when combined with the quantitative analysis laid out by Ben Graham.  Fisher is the guy that inspired Buffett to hold stocks forever.  Buffett has said in the past that he is "85% Graham, 15% Fisher."  That's all.  [more]
