I'm breaking my outperform streak/rule. I've begun the process to short in real-life, so I'll test my theories by experimenting with CAPS. Let's do this...

So the market has turned sour, people are screaming recession, the housing and financial industries are have been reduced to rubble, stocks are being sold off and companies are being consolidated for pennies (e.g. BSC). Yes, my portfolio has been equally punished, but to tell you the truth, I've been trying to ignore it entirely. No doubt, I've been pulling my hair out watching every position in my portfolio turn blood red, including my "safe" blue-chip Roth IRA positions!
Let there be blood.
And buy more! History has shown us that the U.S. Market has rebounded from each and every dip. It may have taken almost a year or so, but eventually it has turned itself around.

Ah, the once sweet market has turned bitter and rotten. Things are downright getting slaughtered, and I strongly feel that this is only the beginning. So what to do now? Stick to your guns people! My worst fear for this stock has come true...yuck yuck yuck. See my blog for more on this huge blow to my RL portfolio (like Anderson Silva's mui thai clinch knee thrust to Rich Franklin's face).

I love CAPS. It's opened so many doors for me as a beginner investor. Whenever I find someone who's interested in stocks, I find myself asking about whether or not they're on CAPS. haha. It's an awesome knowledge base of excellent investors and a great way to experiment without the ability to "cheat". For instance, I find myself justifying my "theory" portfolios on Yahoo Finance, telling myself "Well, I sorta thought about buying Google at $150 when I was waiting for the bus 4 years ago, so I'll add that to my portfolio." =) CAPS doesn't allow this which is WONDERFUL. It also lets you compare the history of of who owned each stock at a certain point in time, which i find utterly incredible! And of course seeing other players and their picks is simply SPLENDID.
