Six or so months ago - and since - it seems as though most arguments against companies such as Starbucks (SBUX), The Cheesecake Factory (CAKE), Buffalo Wild Wings (BWLD), et al. have revolved around one single, fundamental fact:  these are chains that sell food and drinks at luxury prices, and these, one could rationally argue, are not times when people should - or will - be spending money on luxury items.   [more]
