One of the highlights from this months consumer-confidence index:
Plans to buy a major appliance were at 34.4% of respondents, the most since May 1998. Volatile series suggest people are focusing on their existing dwellings now that they are moving less.
May 19, 2007 –
Nierenberg Investment Management Co. on 5/9/07 bought 225,000 shares on the recent dip. Short ratio is 11, possible short squeeze on the horizon on any good news. Even without a possible short squeeze the recent dip is very attractive.
