So, Exxon pulls down 10 BILLION today and it's a "disappointment". What can I say... It's moments like these when my conscience wags its red-stained finger at me and says "nuh-uh...they're the root of the problem." And I plead -- "But it's T-E-N BILLION DOLLARS!!!" And the finger just keeps wagging like a dog's tail. And I just keep staring at those numbers and drool. [more]

Well...My craziness seems to be working a little magic. Out of the eleven oil related stocks I picked 7 are in the green with two more right on the edge. We'll see what happens after the fed announces the interest rate adjustment. I think it's going to underwhelm the big boys and we'll continue to see oil drop. I'm thinking about adding a good chunk of gold to this underperform play as well. I did some shopping earlier but was having a hard time pulling the trigger on many of the gold players because it seems alot of them have already taken a hit since the pull back from 1000. I think the bit speculative cos are gonna be pushed out though, so I might grab a block of them. Anyone have any suggestions? [more]

Okay. So in the midst of trying to figure this CAPS thing out I went a little nuts. Inspired by SpecBears' inspired shorting of the real estate to become the top CAPS player, I took a look around and decided to lower the boom on OIL. That's right. I found some companies that seemed to be bubbling up their prices a little too much and gave 'em the ole thumbs down. So far the results have been mixed but I feel that we're at a tipping point right now, and better to get out too soon than too late. So in the immortal words of Tag Team. Whomp. There it is. [more]

Here it is. My first blog entry. Guess I should start by stating my current portfolio. I'm into Converted Organics (COIN), US Geothermal (UGTH.OB) and Sourceforge Inc. (LNUX). I'm into these stocks not only because I beleive they can make money, but they also allow me to sleep at night knowing my money is going toward businesses that can make a BIG difference in the world. While I admit that right now I'm having mixed results, I'm very long on all three. [more]
