OK my new pick for the New Year!

December 28, 2007 – Comments (0)

Happy New Year!  Woo Hoo!  :)  Well after a bit of research I decided to take my profits from my SLW calls and buy some Jan 2009 12.50 calls on AUY.  I believe that AUY will do very well as gold should gain a lot this year (as the dollar falls). AUY has been a strong performer for quite awhile now and I think this will continue.  I will keep you up to date on how it goes. :)  Have a wonderful woo hoo weekend!  :>)

After Christmas markets :)

December 26, 2007 – Comments (0) | RELATED TICKERS: SLW

Well woo hoo to you all and I wish you a happy new year!!  I suppose the only reason I am blogging today is because I closed my June 2008 calls in SLW today when I noticed the underlying stock running up big time today (8% up!) .  It seemed to me that the chart was showing a topping pattern (almost a blow-off) so I took my profits while I had a chance.  This position has been bouncing around (both up and down) so I am hoping to find something else that is a bit more predictable. :)  Once again I wish you all a woo hoo day!  [more]

A discussion between me and the 5 minute Forecast about Ron Paul

December 18, 2007 – Comments (0)

Hi everyone!  :)  I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a woo hoo New Year!  Now I would like to discuss a subject near and dear to my heart as of late: Ron Paul.  Recently I responded to a comment on the 5 Minute commentary on 12/17/07( http://www.agorafinancial.com/5min/) which I normally find very informative.  I noticed that they stated that there was no Presidential candidate who wanted to get rid of the IRS and get rid of the Federal Reserve and I politely responded that Ron Paul supported those very positions.  Their reply (in the 12/18/07 version of the 5 Minute Forecast) was troubling to me to say the least.  They stated; " You’re right. Dr. Paul has expressed those opinions. And we’re quite impressed by his ability to engender loyalty among the Internet crowd. We saw one sign we liked among his supporters on TV last week. It said, “Dr. Paul cured my apathy.” Unfortunately, his ideas are — like our own — so far out of the mainstream that there’s no way he can get elected. He’s a thorn in the side of the entire political class.  As we speak, his $6 million dollar day is the headline story on CNN.com. But we’ve begun to view him with the sympathy we generally reserve for the underdog. Our fear is the people who are donating money and spread LOVE all over the place… are not necessarily getting out the vote. He may have cured some apathy. But it won’t be enough. And that’s a tragedy.  As much as we’d like to see him win and shake things up, we prefer the view from the cheap seats. We’ll leave the endorsements to Oprah. Besides, if Ron Paul won the presidency, it would suck to have to rip on him for the next four years. He’s too nice a guy for that."  The most troubling thing to me is that we all should want to take back our country and not let the political elites ruin it forever.  President Ron Paul would certainly take a lot of heat but keeping the status quo is just not an option anymore.  The future of our country depends on it.    [more]

Getting close to Christmas (woo hoo!)

December 12, 2007 – Comments (1) | RELATED TICKERS: CEF

Yes the woo hoo girl is back!   It has been an interesting few weeks since I last posted.  I was forced to ditch my investment in FXF today after I learned that the Swiss are cooperating with the Fed to provide "liquidity" to the banks to promote lending.  In other words, the Swiss agreed to inflate with almost everyone else.  :(   I like driving in a snowstorm better then inflation!!  I am looking at either adding to my position in CEF or perhaps opening a new position in either LMC or BQI.  If you have an investment suggestion please feel free to comment below.. it would be a nice gift during the Christmas season!!  :)  I just don't trust the manipulative big central banks or the manipulative big government (who insists inflation is 2%!!)  I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a woo hoo day!  [more]
