Natural Disaster

I'm tired of natural disasters. Particularly, the fires, mudslides, and earthquakes abound in California, and the hurricanes in Florida. Every year the government spends billions of our taxdollars on rebuilding and cleanup projects, something that I don't agree with. I realize the people who live in these areas need serious help financially when a natural disaster hits and I'm glad the government is quick to help them, but when things like hurricanes hit year after year, you would think that people would get the message that its time to move somewhere safer. What I also don't like is when I see the newspapers covered with peopled complaining about their belongings being destroyed from a natural disaster. Ok, I'm sorry and all, but you are living in that place, and therefore accepted the risk, so stop complaining like you didn't realize something like that could happen. What I think is really funny is that California, in terms of population, ranks number one, while Florida ranks just number four. A billion dollars is a lot of money, and when I think it is being spent on something that could be prevented, I get kind of antsy.  [more]

Lets take a broad look at the economy. What do you see? Maybe its a looming recession, or falling housing prices. Being the young man that I am, I see billions of dollars of debt being loaded onto the backs of the future generation of Americans.  [more]
